Affiliate Marketing is pretty much what I do. It is also a branch of internet marketing. Basically Affiliate Marketing is when you send someone to another persons website and if that person buys something you receive a commission. Percentage on commissions vary but usually are between 50% – 75%.
For example I am doing Affiliate Marketing by creating reviews on certain products and if you feel that the product is for you and you buy it I will make a percentage of whatever you bought it for.
Really quite simple and its the reason most of the websites in the WWW exist.
